To enhance a student’s employability, and broaden their skill setin a specific area theValue AddedCourses play a vital role as these courses are an important aspect of the Beyond - curriculum to provide students with the skills they need to succeed in life.Asansol Engineering College provides a broad range of value-added courses which are conducted by professionals. Feedback from alumni, students, Faculty Members /Academicians, and Employers / Industrialists is analyzed and taken into account before designing the course structure, to build an appropriate course by identifying the gaps.All Value Added Courses developed by and approved by the Departmental Academic Committee (DAC) are placed before the Academic Committee for approval. The duration of all the value-added courses is at least 30 hours.A student needs to register/enroll for a VAC under the monitoring of the departmental VAC coordinator/ Head of the department. The students need to secure a minimum of 60% marks and a minimum of 80% attendance to pass or complete the course.
