Industry Oriented learning
The advantage of the college being situated in an industrial hub has allowed regular and close interactions with reputed industries such as SAIL - IISCO Steel Plant, Chittaranjan Locomotive Works, Durgapur Projects Limited, Dishergarh Power Supply Corporation and many others. Academic autonomy will allow the Institute to include representatives of these industries in the boards of studies. The requirements of the industries will thus find a place in the syllabi and curricula. Proximity to industries will also allow inclusion of industry experts as visiting faculty. The Institute will also have the option to plan industry-linked projects for its students at both UG and PG levels. Regular interactions with industry will allow industry personnel to jointly supervise such projects. The institute will also have the privilege of carrying out industry-sponsored projects. Above factors will certainly provide industrial orientation to the academic programmes in this college and will ensure superior quality for the students joining these programmes. The college has already started working in this direction through the functional and active Industry-Institute Interaction Cell.
